Senate Rejects REAL ID Amendment

On July 27, the U.S. Senate adopted an amendment to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) appropriations bill that prohibits funding national identification cards and at the same time rejected an amendment that would have provided $300 million for REAL ID.
