Google Book Search Settlement Agreement Reached
Earlier today Google, the Authors Guild, and the Association of American Publishers (AAP), announced a major settlement agreement resolving the class-action lawsuit brought by book authors and publishers in response to Google’s Book Search digitization project. ALA is currently reviewing the extensive agreement to determine what resulting implications there may be–for all types of libraries–and will provide an analysis in the near future.
Check out the Copyright Advisory Network for additional links and information about the pending settlement.
